DermaSalve Sciences PLC

Company Overview

Since its foundation on 4 January 2006, DermaSalve Sciences has focused on its core objective of providing effective and pure skincare solutions for dry and sensitive skin types.

As a GP Dr Mark Randle, CEO of DermaSalve Sciences, had recognised the fact that all skincare products widely available in the UK contained known skin sensitizers which regularly resulted in irritation for users.

With established distribution in more than 2,000 UK pharmacies DermaSalve skincare products provide healthcare professionals with the ideal product for those consumers who seek advice and recommendations to treat sensitive skin.

Beyond the original DermaSalve products, the Company, through its acquisition of Healthy & Essential Limited, has further developed its interests in skin health entering the rapidly growing Omega-3 fish oils market. These oils are known to be essential for healthy skin. The acquisition of H&E offers the Company a platform to expand beyond skincare as the benefits of Omega-3 continue to be discovered. These already include helping in the prevention of cardiovascular disease as well as evidence to suggest the support of brain development in children.

DermaSalve Science's focus on skincare solutions has also taken the Company into the exciting and dynamic area of the prevention of disease spread. Problems associated with the spread of MRSA and Avian Flu are well reported. Regular cleansing of hands with alcohol is widely recommended by the World Health Organisation et al. as a means of containment for these, and other, diseases.

DermaSalve Science's SafeCleanse product incorporates patented technology to help prevent the often severe skin problems associated with the regular application of alcohol based formulations. With side effects such as chapped and cracked skin, the pain associated with alcohol application can often lead to below optimum application and as a result an increase in the risk of disease spread. Thanks to its unique benefits SafeCleanse is therefore developing global interest from a number of international organisations.
